Express shipping is where we make use of a courier to send your order to your door as quickly as possible. This could be same day, or next day or may take up to 2 days depending on your area. We work with a few different couriers and will send your order with the courier that will deliver to your area the quickest. For main city areas this is usually The Courier Guy Over night or Same day service. This shipping method is recommended for orders that contain fish. If your order only contains plants and you do not mind waiting a few days then you can choose Pudo and the parcel will be delivered to a Pudo locker near you for your collection at a time that suits you. It is very important that you inform us which Pudo locker you would like to collect from, you can google “Pudo locker near me” and then decide which one is more convenient for you. Remember to tell us the name of your Pudo locker in the delivery address section or order notes.
If you are unable to collect from a Pudo locker and do not mind waiting a few days for delivery (recommended for plants only) then you may choose normal Door Courier.
Please allow 24hours processing time (1 working day) for us to get your order ready for courier after payment is received. We send all fish orders overnight express or same day delivery Monday – Thursday (Cape Town) and Monday – Wednesday (rest of South Africa) orders that do not contain fish and shrimp are sent Monday – Friday
Once sent, you will receive a tracking number. If you have any queries regarding the time of delivery you can contact the couriers directly using your tracking number as reference.
This is a hobby for me and a passion, not a money making venture, for this reason I take pride in my shipping process and make sure your fish and plants are sent with correct packaging and protections measures to ensure they get to you safely, this may include fasting fish 24 hours before sending to eliminate waste, bagging fish right before courier arrives (we know the time and deal with the same driver daily) and making sure our water to oxygen ratios are sufficient for the journey to you. If you are in Cape Town your order is delivered the same day it is collected (not necessarily the same day you ordered) and other main cities are delivered the following day. Outlaying areas make take 48 – 72 hours even if we send “Overnight Express” but your fish and plants will be prepared for this journey. If for some reason you receive fish “Dead on Arrival” we have got your covered! Yes, this is risky for a business to take this type of responsibility but we are not prepared to do business if we can not guarantee your fish arrive alive, please see our REFUND POLICY regarding DOA’s
If you ordered livestock and chose Pudo or normal Door Courier as a delivery method we do not offer any guarantees
