This plant is sold as a scoop of a small net. Maybe a 1/4 to a half a cup full. Hard to measure.
Common Name: Duckweed
This plant grows really fast and tolerates a wide range of water conditions. It spreads very fast and once you have it in your tank it is very hard to get rid of it. Love it or hate it, it has it’s benefits. Gold fish and Koi will eat it up in no time, it is a great food for them so most people grow this in a separate tub to feed to their fish. I have found that adult guppies eat it too and the fine roots provide good hiding places for the babies so I always keep this in my guppy tubs and ponds. Natures superfood.
